The Mascardi Reset

Buying a Luxury Car in Kenya Feels Like Dating with No References

Hi.
It’s been a minute.

Okay… a couple of years.

Between 2023 and now, we’ve been busy. Selling amazing cars. Hosting our first ever collaboration with Stanbic Bank. Winning an award as Kenya’s Best Luxury Car Brand (yes, we’re still smiling about that). Opening a brand-new showroom in Lavington, which we are obsessed with btw and upgrading our showroom into a proper state-of-the-art space. We even added a coworking area because our clients don’t really wait… they work.

And yes, those billboards? You’ve seen them right?

But let’s be honest.

Buying a luxury car in Kenya can feel like jumping off a cliff, all the adrenaline, but you’re not quite sure what’s waiting down there. Or worse… playing Russian roulette.

The cars themselves? Usually incredible.

It’s the experience around them that gives people heartburn. Mileage gymnastics. Creative histories. And as Earl Karanja and Kalasinga recently showed, even some of Kenya’s biggest car yards have been known to get a little… funky.

No wonder the Kenyan used car journey sometimes leaves you needing therapy if you make it out in one piece, or with a car that’s in one piece.

Now generally, premium car buyers are cut from a different cloth. We’re not always chasing the cheapest deal. We’re chasing peace of mind.

So while we’ve been quiet here, we haven’t been idle. We’ve been rethinking the experience, tightening our standards, obsessing over details, and growing the Mascardi family (you’ll be seeing more of them very soon).

We’re back. Still picky. Still obsessed. Still doing things properly.
And honestly?

This felt like a good place to start again.
